I think it’s possible. We’re seeing a lot of promising new groups debut, kpop has grown bigger as a whole and majority of top 3rd gen groups are nearing the end of their careers (contract renewals, military services, focus on solo activities etc.)

No. A big part of the reason for the success of BTS/BP/Twice - and I say this as a fan of two of these groups - is that their music has a loud cartoonish quality that gets them noticed.

If international fans like the kind of songs Lesserafim, IVE, NJ are putting out, they have English speaking options for that. Even an earworm line like "narcissistic my god I love it" can't go very far when it's surrounded by Korean. People will use the chorus in tiktok's and then move on. For better or worse Itzy or Aespa are still 4th gen's best hopes.
