Why do non fans care about so much about BP not getting comebacks often?

Western artists don't make comebacks often as well. It's obvious that yg is managing them like a western act, and it's ridiculous to release full album after every 4 months. If blinks are content who are you to complain?

what's the obsession with placing western artists as a benchmark ? western artists can do whatever they want, but this is KPOP we're talking about. kpop relies heavily on consistent comebacks to appease fans because most idols pushing 30s is considered old enough, so they need to fill out contents before nearing the verse of disbandment.

western artists can be pushing 40s or 50s and still is relevant, but korean artists dont, or at least they receive less engagement. THAT is the difference between kpop and western musics. dont try to pass yg's shitty treatment as something that should become the norm.

They probably like Blackpink's content more than their fave's content but since they have no life, they would rather recieve 10x low quality content than wait for a year or two like normal people.

But why and how does this affect people who don't like Blackpink? So what if they don't rely heavily on consistent comebacks as you said?

yall talking as if quality is directly proportional with time lol, IVE has consistent comebacks in these recent 6 months and their quality is all top-notch. theres NOTHING low quality about having many comebacks in a year.

but blinks have problems with it too. a lot of them do actually but you're here complaining about non-fans lol

As much as I hate YGE they were always a bit "different" (definitely not better just different) since the foundation of agency, the fact that a lot of the first people involved with YG were korean-american definitely gave a particular imprinting to the agency even when it comes to comebacks. I wasn't expecting BP to cb that often after I learned about the agency and in my opinion BP has success also because in certain aspects they aren't managed like most kpop groups. The hiatuses per se aren't the biggest problem imo, it's the number of songs they have that is a joke considering that they debuted in 2016

Actually, it's not so much non fans who care. They are forced to take notice because blinks are either crying about their girls not coming back or when they are, they won't shut up about it and become the most toxic delusional fandom that's ever existed. So non fans have no choice but to be exposed to the starvation aspect of YG and it's gg.
