BTS have been giving such a ''we are established millionaires now let's just sit down, eat potatoes and sleep or watch tv'' vibes lately, they don't seem to be ambitious anymore and have lost that fire they used to a few years back, is it a negative psychological impact of covid? i mean they sure did hold back so much this year by releasing a weak compilation album with a ballad goodbye title track and no tour on top of that, idk man it's like they dont feel it anymore, they could easily have made so much noise and break a lot of records by having a comeback similar to mots: persona or love yourself: tear i mean a REAL full fledged comeback, i hope they get that fire in the eyes back again someday in the future who knows. it just hurts seeing your fav artist of all time acting like 80 year olds in their 20s.

They had planned Chapter 2 for 2020 before covid, this era has nothing to do with covid.
Armys and BTS are at a crossroads from what I see. Armys still want BTS to keep pushing and scaling new peaks while BTS seem done with the rat race. They have achieved everything already as a group, this is why their ambitions as a group are over. It is their solo career prospect that excites them more as they have to start afresh here. It is infinitely more challenging than being in the group. Let them do what they want for their own self-satisfaction. They have given Armys a lot, let them have this without begrudging them.

I'm not an army but I will give my two cents on this. Coming from a genuine intention.
Just like how the seasons change, so do people's emotional and spiritual states.
BTS worked very hard so far to thank their fans for supporting them and helping them achieve incredible things as artists and as a group. Perhaps now they can't push themselves in that direction anymore. From what I checked recently, all their releases lack true creativity. It's like recycled songs whether it's pop rock or hip hop.
So let them breath. Let them figure themselves out. Let them give you genuine true art.
Humans need to be productive to go forward, but we also need time to stay still and contemplate where we are and where we want to be. And I think that's where BTS seems to be rn. Contemplating. They are humans too. Not music machines. Not content machines.
As true fans stay by them, support them in whatever they do.
If blinks can wait and break records every cb, I'm sure army can too.

They were supposed to enlist in 2021 so they had planned everything up-to that point. They knew enlistment was coming so they were gonna use this chapter 2 to settle into their lives. After this enlistment era is over they will come back as a group again. BTS know what they are doing and I'm happy for them. If you are army and you are expecting bts to do things that you want them to do then you are not a fan of bts. You are just selfish and entitled. I am not selfish like most armys so I'll wait till this enlistment era is over and wait for them to come back.

It's funny coming from a blink. Talking about creativity as if those girls are the ones producing their own music. They are just the singers who are given same recycled songs by some men.
Bts are passionate musicians who wanted more which is why they are venturing into solo career. It will give them more opportunities to unlease their creativities.

Is it so unnatural for people to enjoy their success? Could u even blame BTS if that was indeed their mindset, after dealing with the legions of out of touch, deluded, hateful, cringe af kpop fans? Think about kpop schedules, working 23 hour days and eating a sweet potato a day? Who the fuck would want to do that? In the west, artists often take years to put out an album. In kpop, their fast food, gotta stay relevant mentality would crush the imagination, creativity and focus of any artist.
You are part of the problem with this clapped as fuck genre. You're an Army you say, so then you know they have over 200 songs, go listen to them. If you're their fan, you would give them the room to make music that matters to them. Or are you a closeted SM/YG stan pretending to be an Army so you can flex about charts and streams and awards on twitter like all these other clowns?

Well they have gotten as close as possible to both in many ways, that those are now rather anti-climatic.
It can definitely be said that but not for the pandemic, they would have achieved that in the correct time as well.
So they are good to move on to other things, their legacy is secure.
They could have personal ambitions apart from the group -both as individual artists and other things in life.
So until we know their next direction, best is to be thankful for what they have given so far and let them be.
