    Blinks swore bts did nothing for Blackpink's career but they got invited to the VMAs in the year bts went on hiatus. Should blinks thank bts for the opportunity now?

    No. They did not. Everything BLACKPINK has achieved is from their efforts and Blinks alone. BTS did not book their shows for them, or get them entered in the charts, or write their songs that became successful, or plan their tours, or buy their albums, or stream their songs. That is all the effort of BP, Blinks, and their team.

    No BTS hasnt paved the way for anyone, 2nd gen already did, they went to do concerts, interviews, awards in the us before, just that BTS was the only one doing it consistently, etiher way their seniors paved the way for them

    What other year would BP have been invited? 2020, when they didn't even get a nomination in the KPOP category because HYLT was released too late? 2021, when they were inactive as a group? Anytime before that they were too unknown in the west. This is their first release after a top 15 hit on Hot 100, a top 2 album on BB200, and actually winning a VMA of course if they were going to perform at any point, it would be this year.

    2020: BTS performed

    2021: BTS attended via acceptance speeches

    2022: invited despite being inactive during the current eligibility period ....bc BTS isn't there


    those are the reasons they haven't been invited plus the fact that they haven't had a major hits in the US (BTS got invited to perform in 2020 after several consecutive top 10 BBHot100 songs and numerous of other achievements so why would 1 top 15 song 2 years ago qualify them?)
