Fan signs and fan video calls are so cringy, I applaud idols for surviving those without any controversies

I also thought fansigns were cringe but it does have its moments. Especially when the idols look happy to be there and the fans don’t cross their boundaries. It looks like a cute interaction

Sometimes I just want one of these fancalls so I can tell them they’re doing great and I really enjoy their music and they can spend the rest of the fancall just doing what they want, even if it’s just taking a break for a minute from all the bullshit.

Like you have an opportunity there to ask them about their craft or give them a little pick me up with some complements and you want them to act like a puppy or your bf/gf.

Fancalls can be great - I’ve seen some where they had actual convos about music recs or like Xiaojun excitedly asking the fan for tips on taking care of his beagle. I’ve seen where someone has given an idol praise that moved them or been touched by something like a charitable donation in their name. I just wish everyone had that spirit..
