I calculated which girl groups are the most consistent digitally

  • This thread isn't a twice vs bp thread nor was anywhere near that, this was a simple stats thread.

It BECAME a twice vs bp thread because some people didn't like the resulting numbers X/

It became that way because the OP's intentions were obvious when he singled out Twice's Christmas releases in the OP. Boombayah and Stay are literal double title tracks yet he decides to ignore it and equivalate it with Twice's Christmas releases to justify it lmao

Come on, seriously. Do you really think it will make that much of a difference if they're included or not?

With or without, BP would still be #1 and there would still be a big gap between BP vs not only TWICE but also the other groups.

The reason for it is also easy to explain: for ages YG has had the policy 'better 1 epic quality song in 2-3 years than multiple mid to good songs in 2-3 years', something that YG artist songwriters like BI, Mino and AkMu's Chanhyuk who all sometimes delivered dozens to 50+ songs in a month - only to have 1 song at most accepted by the YG teams.

Which is why all the YG groups incl BP have so few albums and songs and comebacks.

If that's a company's approach to production and promotion - deliver few comebacks but put everything to the max into these few - of course the few comebacks and title tracks that will get produced will chart better than when a company's goal is to deliver more content, comebacks and albums.

  • The gap is not as big as you'd think, if this calculation was done pre-Scientist Twice would actually be ahead on this metric.

Late 2021 before Scientist came out people weren't saying Twice were more consistent or better charters than BP.

If I added Christmas songs Twices number would’ve dropped significantly lower because merry & happy and the best thing I ever did did not do good at all digitally

  • We should at least express thanks to OP for compiling these stats everyone is arguing over. THANKS!

  • hmm if 2nd gen was included SISTAR would sweep all your faves
