Is NewJeans actually good or are they overhyped?

They are becoming the it group of Twitter only 2 days in but are they actually good and innovative or are they overhyped?

I don't see anything in them right now-not even potential-but there's always room for growth.

At least for me. I would at least wait for their digital, stage performance, character and variety show before hyping a group or somthing, but it looks when group coming from big companies they get hyped for no reason.

for me they are the best

their visuals are crazy, their energy together is amazing, I like their vocal colors and along with NMIXX and ITZY they are the best performers/dancers

their charisma is incredible and you can really tell how much they love this

Their songs are great and their mvs are also good. What’s not to like. It’s not that deep, yall just take kpop too seriously as if it’s an olympics sport or something

So far I find them likable and I get the hype.

But some stans went too far and set them up everywhere. Don't turn into Blinks or Mys pls

They don’t fit my personal preference but I can see why people find them interesting and refreshing.

I don’t know if they are overhyped or not since I’m not on Twitter or Tiktok. But they are refreshing, the songs are catchy, the choreographies look like so much fun and they look like they are having fun too which is great.

Overhyped? What gave that away?

they're like a breath of fresh air but how long this would last is in question. they're from a big company so the hype would always be there.

i can see their center (minji?) gain traction and maybe compete with it girls if they play their cards right. their english skills is good for western promotion. their concept is unlike other. i don't think they have top tier skills though so that would be a big disadvantage. however, music would be the ultimate factor in their popularity.

"top tier skills meaning"? Vocal? Performance?

Anyway, time is the answer. In time, they'll gain more confidrnce, more fans provided they maintain the quality of their music.

They are overhyped. People acting like they are something new when they are basically just a 2nd gen group.

They don’t have great dance skills, they look very awkward with some moves and vocally they all sound the same and look the same. They are definitely overhyped
