They don’t live in Korea yet it girl is always discussed. Why does the title it girl make them care so much?

Because they want to convince themselves that their faves are so big in korea and have the gp on a chokehold or whatever other things they say.

Real talk koreans are the same as everyone in other countries. some care about musicians and celebrities, some may be into "stanning" culture and stuff, but most just enjoy it as it is, maybe watch some kdramas, listen to trot music and the biggest celebrities are sport figures and olympians.

I don't think it's a general thing, it's just a couple of ifan koreab0os who are overobsessed with the 'it girl' thing.

It's actually sad and so petty: since their main biases aren't topping brand rankings and popularity and search lists and other idols they dislike do, they come up with this elusive it girl stuff for their boasting, validation and shading needs.

It's literally just Wonyoung and Jennie akgaes that care about this. Anything to have their faves top some metric. Especially when we all know who the actual most popular idol worldwide is.
