I watched Resident Evil on Netflix because they had a scene with NEXT LEVEL

As a fab of the games I watched ep 1 and I struggled to finish it. Gave up there because it was utter shit.

My brother watched it all and he likes RE too. He absolutely hated it and said it was not only an abomination to the source but also a shit show in general. The stuff he tells that happens later on made me glad I dodged a bullet.

who the fuk says that to their sister? So random, irrelevant and unrealistic. I just needed to nag about that

The first episode alone felt very off. Why is there so much teen drama? Jade is the most unlikeable main character, didn't take long for her to be very rude, very judgemental and always swearing at her dad even when he had no clue about the fight at school. Insufferable character.

Then the entire break in at umbrella, you're telling me 2 teen girls managed to break in to reasrcah facility using only a recording and there was zero security like guards, CCTV, alarms or even basic ass locks on doors/departments?

I heard and saw clips of dumber shit that happens later on. Wesker backstory is laughable and absurd, future Jade had mellowed out but was even more dangerous getting her own friends and family killed because she never stopped to think about the stuff she was actually doing and Umbrella has no end goal - they're destroying the zombies they wanted to create but won't create a cure either, wtf is their plan at all?

What's worse is there's possibly a S2. Netflix raises prices to greenlight this crap?
