Depends what songs you compare. If you compare their last 2 releases that were released about a week apart, Hot and Beatbox (May releases), Hot did chart longer (and higher? I don't know). It's been consistently charting in the top 100 since its release and last Melon daily chart had it at #41. But to be fair, Hot is also charting higher than Seventeen's current song (2 days old now). Seventeen's Darl+ing (April release) has also had surprising success/longevity on the charts and is still seen in the Melon charts. Last year, many people said NCT Dream had Seventeen beat with Hot Sauce so it might just come down to the songs and not the groups as they're pretty close in popularity.

Overall Dream has more higher charted songs, while SVT (tt & bside) more stable thus their streaming number is bigger. This year SVT doing really good in SK & promoted well. Their Killing Voice perfomance attract many non-fans for their singing skill. This is current MelOn 24h hits, aren't they doing good whether it's mass streaming/not? IMG_20220721_063107.jpg

What songs are Seventeen in the 1st and 3rd screenshot? I don't recognize them.

Wonder how Glitch Mode(the title track 2 months before Beatbox) did compared to these songs I know i saw nctzens say it charted better than hot sauce and stayed on melon daily for 80-something days

Does it matter? Both have mid charting at the end of the day

Apparently it's MelOn 8AM, but I'm not sure why they're still freezing, correction are welcomed.

Oh impressive, I don't know about Glitch Mode because I don't keep up with NCT that much. Then Glitch Mode would have Hot beat? I think that helps support my belief NCT and Seventeen comparisons really come down to the song and not the group and this is why people get confused by whose more popular (they're the same). I think their popularity is really similar so if a song happens to resonate more, it will do better. That's why Glitch Mode did a lot better than Beatbox and Hot is doing a lot better than _World so far.

By girl group standards? Yes. Boy group standards? No. In recent years, 4th gen and the majority of 3rd gen boy groups can't chart like them in Korea or sell physicals like them either. There's less than handful of boygroups that can chart in Melon right now, and even less that can stay there and not freefall.

Both are doing about the same just like last year. Seventeen is ranking more songs now because they just dropped their repack so fans are also streaming their previous tracks. Hot is inside melon daily for about two months and that's similar to how long Glitch Mode charted in daily top 100. Beatbox release also made dream's previous title track chart higher, it's not fair to compare how Seventeen are charting now when dream's repack was released a while ago.

Yes, Glitch Mode charted longer than Hot Sauce. In general, their original tt do better than the repackage tt.
