When do you consider something 'hate' and when 'constructive criticism'?

  • Wondering about that one, because it seems like a fine line that isn't the same to everyone.

Personally, I usually consider 2 criteria:

    - if the same sort of comment that a poster made would've been said about that poster's bias, would that poster see it as an affront, attack or shade or as a constructive criticism?

    - if a poster keeps on and on in thread after thread about a group's or idol's flaws or lack of success in something, then I don't think it's just criticism anymore.

  • Uhh, not sure about hate but for constructive criticism, I just follow if the user said any useful feedbacks and/or point out specific thing that the idol can/should improve on, something actionable. That would count as constructive criticism. Of course there's plenty other ways to tell the differences.

    1. lol twice so bad they can't sing, 5 years and they still the same, should disband jfc

    vs

    2. JYPe should give Momo more mid-tone bars and stop having her singing in higher tone, it doesn't fit her and she can't sing it well. Dahyun and Chaeyoung should stop rapping as theyre reading from a paper, but put more flavor into their tones, annunciation, and flow. Tyuzu needs to work more on her vocal technique. fyi im pulling sht outa my ass, ONCE don't attack me thanks. :hey-bee:

The second one is wordy, boring, and no one wants to read it. We're just a buncha loser listening to kpop and having a stupid war online where the idols don't even know we exists. So the best course of actions are say some ridiculous thing to get a reaction out of the fans themselves, and we play with it until the day's over. Repeat on new day. :rant-bee:

  • Easy.

    1. Hate = anything negative said about your faves

    2. Constructive Criticism = negative comments made about groups or idols you don't like

That's how it works on the internet.
