Any other Korean soloist has had a more successful collab internationally? Shows their individual power.

everyone will be fine if they release a gp-friendly song. More debuted very high on k-charts but because it's non-gp music so it dropped. i doubt others will go hardcore route like j-hope. even if they won't do well on k-charts, their international charting will still outsold everyone in kpop plus the 'physical' sales. non-fans shouldn't worry too much for bts members, worry about your flopped faves.

And with Suga, it’s a double hit. Please don’t downplay Suga, the most sought after idol producer by both Korean and western acts.
-
Production does not matter - most idols songs are produced by professional producers, Swedish song factories etc., they get royalties but the song is not "owned" by them.
The same applies even if popular idols do the production.
Features also is not enough to establish the success of the artists. Suga's collabs are success depending on who he collaborated with. IU, Psy etc., are no lightweights, to depend on Suga. Neither is Charlie Puth.
Only J-hope has done a proper solo release and it did not chart well.
Fans will give excuses like the song was not meant for GP etc., but those are just excuses. No artist will say they don't want the GP to appreciate the song.
BTS is still massively present in mindspace, that the ARMY fandom will make sure that none of the solos fail, they will definitely do better than 90% of other soloists or even groups.
But to be another Psy or IU, in S.Korea, that needs more than the current achievements.
And internationally, there are others to measure against.
Time will tell.

let's not forget if Daechwita was released on korean platforms, it would have been a hit.

ironic because you are doing the most to discredit Suga here.
even if he's not a successful soloist, he's still a successful producer. He's smart and knows what kind of music the GP like so I have no doubt he will be successful once he debuts officially, especially if he makes another masterpiece MV like Daechwita. Stay tuned
