dont get me wrong, I am OVER THE MOON that my girls all renewed and they will stay together and make more music together
However looking at how jyp have treated them in the past, and pretty much overworked all of them, especially with jeongyeon and mina having health problems, i dont know what to think.
I hope they have worked out better terms that will let them take better care of their health and rest when needed.
Now that the company is giving them more individual promotions it feels like they are not going to be promoting as a group as much as they used to, which is great for them since they've been overworked indeed for years making music non stop, otherwise i don't see how some of the girls renewed their contracts
I think they'll be given more power with the new contract I'm sure they put their conditions.
i wanna say that they did probably got the best deal but reality maybe not. outside of nayeon or maybe jihyo and dahyun. who there can survive on their own? sana mina and momo wont thrive in korea (for obvious reasons) as much i hate to say it but theyre more likely to succeed going back to japan. that goes more for tzuyu also( shes a visual but doesnt have the star power in variety shows or singing abilities) whos left? If you think about it, this was the best choice for all the members to stick together as their stronger together and cover each others weakness. JYPE probably knows that and set fort diff conditions. but hey im just speculating. hope for the best for twice.
To stay somewhat relevant they have to stay together, they all had to renew. Individually they are nugu so there was no other option.
I don't blame them, it was either try to look happy together as a group or fall into obscurity and never be seen again.

Am I the only one who thinks the foreign line can absolutely thrive in Korea? Especially Sana and Momo since they have more personality in variety shows (Mina is a bit more quiet so,).
Sana already had her viral moments with Cheese Kimbap and is very well-known. Momo is also well-known (maybe due to her past relationship), and both are dropdead visuals which gives you an extra boost there.
And they're not like Sakura who debuted in the 48 Groups and had some controversy in the past. TWICE foreign line debuted in Korea, and has had squeaky clean image with JYP coaching them and watching over them (he's always emphasised being a good person and being polite etc.).
