I am sorry but this is a stupid question. It's not even close. Anime has a far bigger reach and influence than kpop ever did. Kpop can't even compared to how big anime and manga already was in the 90s.

kpop > jpop

manga > manhwa

anime > kdrama

however kpop and kdrama are absolutely in their growing state, meanwhile anime and manga has reached their prime glory and will continue to remain relevant

Anime industry is way bigger than K-pop. It's not the same public and Japanese animation is in the game since a very long time.
