RE : Aren't Hybe and bighit same thing?

    What? All the sub labels are now under hybe from what i understand. Bighit is one label from where bgs exclusively debut atm.

    Aren't Hybe and bighit same thing?
    Bighit is like the mother of Hybe, it's not the other way around so bighit owns Hybe. And ceos are the same too. It's like bighit acquiring these companies and later changing their name.
    Pledis, koz and Soumu aren't Hybe but Hybe literally originated from bighit with the same people working for them as well.

    While it’s true all of Hybe’s money originated from Bighit, but once they created Hybe, Bang PD decided to make Bighit like another label under Hybe just like Pledis, etc. This is so that Bighit can focus on the musical/artistic aspects and BTS has musical freedom from shareholder’s whims. But at the end of the day, Bang PD is the owner of Hybe (he’s not the CEO of Hybe because he wants to focus on producing music more).
