Armys thinking BTS isn't Kpop is at best peak delusional and at worst super racist. Do they honestly think just because BTS might have gotten some success in the West that BTS is anything other than just another Kpop groups to the West? That they are somehow less Asian or less Korean? How they hell do their stans like a Kpop group but also hate Kpop? It's giving xenophobic, racist, appropriation - it's giving a lot ot nothing good is what i'm saying. They are basically trying to "other" BTS like they are the exception and one of the "good ones".

I thought BTS was bigger than Kpop? But Army spends so much time worrying about Kpop and what Kpop fans think?
BTS is bigger than kpop. That's a fact. They occupy top 8 of the biggest Gaon sales ever. Even their single Butter is in top 10. Held stadium concerts ww, ifpi number 1 for 2 years. That's just to name a few.
And kpop fans still disrespect and bash them. .

It was Kpoppies who said that BTS isn't kpop long time ago and ARMY just ran with it.
They are the face of kpop. If you say kpop, many in the West would think BTS.
And BTS is bigger than Kpop.

Given how any country of worth, thoroughly ignores the UN on anything that matters, it is merely an over-glorified diplomatic club, past its prime.
It is not BTS or even Aespa who are privileged to perform at the UN, but it is more UN that needs these kind of events, to stay relevant.
So meh..I will be more impressed if Samsung, Tesla etc., invites a Kpop act to perform for their employees.
Kpop idols actually dilute their brand by associating with such falling institutions.
"Paved the way", bah?
As the cliche goes,
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions", can be paraphrased for Kpop as
"The road to irrelevance is paved with political partisanship"

First of all, armys are kpop fan. If you're an army and afraid to call yourself a kpop fan, you're a xenophobe.
Don’t be stupid. Kpop known as idol music is just an industry. It’s not an identity
