Is there an AC and heating unit in every house where you live?

Yes, every home has both where I live (Texas). Extreme heat in the summers and we have colder winters than most think so it’s a necessity.

I’m probably going to buy a new AC this winter (better deal than in the summer) which will probably cost me $10k and that’s for an average one.

in my house in Madeira islands we never had AC. But thats also because this place AC's itself somehow. its cold in the summer ( literally it can be 30 celsius outside but never feels like more than 22 inside) and Winter here is like 12 celsius tops so there is literally no need for AC.

When i lived in lisbon i had no AC either, which only sucked in the summer time but i left lisbon when it was summer. But i also refused to get like a fan or something when i lived there.

At work though we have AC.

I live almost in the very middle of the U.S. and the majority, if not all, have heating and AC. The summers get really hot and the winter is freezing cold.

A/C + Gas heater. Yeah pretty much. Though some are hopelessly old and often have to be patched or ripped up to install new ones that actuall finally don't leak coolant gas.

Sweden: AC no.. Heating yes we would be dead in the winter if not.

Feels like AC is more like an Asian, ME, African and SA thing.
