Will any kpop group surpass SNSD's domestic popularity?

In terms of numbers - sales, likes, views etc., Kpop itself has grown exponentially since SNSD peak and hence obviously they have been surpassed.

But in terms of impact and dominance at their peak, I don't think any GG has surpassed SNSD.

Expanding to BGs, then Bigbang and BTS have surpassed SNSD.

So it entirely depends on how you define "popularity", what metric do you want to use?

Sales numbers or polls like Gallup.

If sales numbers or the portion percentage of sales of K-pop even within S.Korea, then they would have been surpassed.

But polls like Gallup, no GG has surpassed them. But if not GG, then Bigbang, BTS, Psy, IU have matched and surpassed them.
