Why isn’t Karina more popular in Korea despite being most pushed?

Previous SM girl groups, Yoona, Krystal, Irene are all centers of their groups and become an it girl in Korea. It’s clear that SM pushes Karina the most, however, Winter generates more buzz in Korea and people say she’s more likely to become an it girl. Why isn’t Karina more popular in Korea despite more push?

Winter is more popular because she, with description above, also looks next door cute girl level approachable which is why the guys like her more. Like her most watched fancam went viral because she pouted and Koreans found her cute. Japan has almost the same standards which is why she's popular there too. Meanwhile Karina has China on lock because Chinese prefer Karina's face

Idk about Krystal being the most popular (no shade, I really don't know). Wasn't Sulli popular too for her looks? She was pushed a lot too cmiiw. But her popularity ended because she was caught with that creep Choiza whom she met when she was like 15?16? Then she started acting up which started in 2013, her relationship was confirmed and she left fx. That f**ker didn't help by releasing eat sleep song too. The mind blowing thing is she was only 20 years old too in 2014.
