Can Aespa reach 2 million overall album sales if they pass 1m with preorders?

Depends, how high their total preorders end up being.

SM have a structural problem of understocking and not restocking for their groups. Also you won't see the Gaon figures be double the preorder figures, not for most k-pop groups but certainly not for SM groups.

So in order to break the 2M threshold, I'm guessing their preorder sales need to be 1.5-1.7M at the least.
