BLACKPINK is underestimated a lot

    I'm not a fan of them but I definitely fall into a casual listener category. For the longest time I honestly never understood the hype about them, I thought they were a basic girl group which was popular only due to being the new yg girl group. I mean I still think yg has a huge role in their popularity but I have come to acknowledge the members as well. Due to the influx of a lot of 4th gen gg during their hiatus I just realized that the bp definitely has an irreplaceable place in the kpop scene. They do what they do better than anybody else.


    As I said I'm not a stan so I can't really list their achievements but a quick google search can tell you that they have done a lot of things that were unheard of for a gg and they have broken a lot of barriers. I believe that their is no current gg that can replace them. I mean their are going to be ggs in the future that maybe will surpass them in stats but they have left a huge mark on the kpop. They aren't given due credit for what they have done maybe because of their long hiatus or small discography but I'll give credit where it is due, they definitely are one of the biggest groups in kpop history. If it was upto me I'd rank them in top 3.


    As an army I believe they are the only group that has ever given bts a run for their money although bts sprinted with dynamite but still.

    Underestimated in what? they top charts, major sales, huge fandoms, uhhh i dont know if underestimated the correct word. I don't think anything about them is underestimated?


    For such a huge, top group like them, labeling them as underdog or being underestimated is like a slap to the face for those nugus ggs who are actually fit the label IMO. It's like saying ohyeah I started my business with nothing but only 2 million from my inheritance and now my company is worth 200 million, people underestimated me so much!

    OP means underestimated in the sense that people in anons think it will be oh so easy for BP to be replaced and they haven't achieved all that much when in reality it's been 5 years and no girl group is even touching rookie BP US charting, among other things

    People imply their fav group is going to end bp since despite every stat showing the opposite. So yeah I do think they are underestimated

    Only some AKP losers think otherwise you ask anyone in the street who is the biggest gg in the world and they will tell you it’s BP.

    Although I don't think its the group that is being underestimated, rather I think its moreso on their fans being underestimated. Without the fans, there is no BlackPink. They are essentially being carried by the fans. Because if you look at the amount of song releases per year or activities, it is extremely small compare to other groups, the fans are the one who is keeping those songs charting or relevant. Imagine if smaller groups like WSJN, DC, or I don't know Momoland? Imagine if they only put out 1 song every year, with the amount of fans they have, do you think they'll stay relevant?


    However, because there is a group, there are fans, so the information is conflicted. I not sure what to make of it. When you have such a enormous support, it is hard to be dethroned no matter what you do or don't.

    I think most of BP achievements will be surpassed easily soon. The only thing they had was coachella and that was already surpassed. They don't have much anything else tbh. Most blinks have already left the fandom and I feel like their next comeback won't do well

    If you’re army, you know Blackpink is not near to BTS’ achievements at all. They are the top GG for sure but BTS is on another level. Even pre-Dynamite, the only thing BP can surpass BTS is YouTube streams, not much anything else. People sometimes thing BP is at par with BTS because people always link them together but that is because they are both top groups in their respective gender. Just to clear the illusion here.


    But I agree that those who say 4th gen GGs will surpass BP is delusional

    What really bothers Army the most is that despite having massive numbers compared to BP that BP enjoys the same status as BTS globally. Dentists are loving it.
