I see onces using "local group" as a praise for Twice ok worldwide results but these same onces say that Twice flopping in SK is because now they are focusing in the West hence their change in music and image. So how are they still a local group? Are their achievements these little that onces use it to try to make it seem more impressive?
They aren't a local group, since 2019 they changed their image. Choose a side because it's looking weird.

The way I see it, Twice decided they dominated SK and JP so they wanted to spread worldwide 
Let's be real, that's just Once and JYP stans changing their tune due to successes and failures.
Up till 2018, TWICE were doing best in South Korea and Japan, so that's why those achievements got praised and focused on by Once and JYP stans (but also by other fans like Blinks in the Blink-Once fanwars, to mock TWICE's international shortcomings).
But now that TWICE have been left in the dust by other groups in South Korea since their superstar producer BEP left them to follow their own path since 2019 three years ago, Once and JYP stans love to pretend that success and popularity in SK doesn't matter anymore - even when before they were glorifying it as an ultimate pinnacle of achievement to gain and maintain.
Mark my words, as soon as TWICE have a comeback that's doing REALLY well in SK again, Once and JYP stans will suddenly 'remember' again how important and praiseworthy it is to have huge success in SK and you can bet your ass they'll be boasting from the rooftops that 'NGG did it again!', 'local queens return to pick up their crowns again' etc etc.
But until then, they'll insist that success and popularity in SK is trivial and unimportant.

This is one of those things fans do, like when Twice do something obviously good internationally like hot 100 place, 100+ days on Spotify charts, sell out their tour, etc
It has nothing to do with their Korean charting, it's literally becuase for the first 4 years of their career people used to claim Twice had 0 global appeal and that groups like even RV and Exo were above them in international popularity...I mean it's pretty obviously said with sarcasm as a fuck you to the people that doubted them.
Of course people intentionally bring this to anon to miss the point since they know they'll be humiliated on main if they open the thread there.
