Is Rosé's musical persona made up?

She likes music & so do the other bp members,

but rosé has gotten the label of "true musician" of the group & many like to turn it into "she is very artistic/musical gifted" and that she is being held back. is it just me or does this feel fake/very exaggerated? it feels like yg needed a label for her since the other ones all had a certain persona, so they gave Rose the indie artiste, who makes music 24/7.

sure, compared to the other members she might be the most into music, which isn't saying much since half of them seem not that interested anymore in being a musician. However, saying she is musical gifted or that she is being held back, when she seems to be living her life to the fullest, seems like a stretch to me. Maybe it was her solo that ruined my idea of her and her passion for music?

she definitely is the one member who's the most passionate in terms of music but her akgaes are annoying af trying to downplay other members.

She's the most into music, plays several instruments and is the main vocal. She said she misses their trainee days because they were closer to music and Teddy said she stays very late in the studio.

So people immediately had this image of the girl who just want to sing but yg doesn't let her.

Tbh I wouldn't say she's musically gifted, the lyrics she wrote are so basic. She said several times she was hesitant to release her solo and wants everything to be perfect but ended up releasing the most generic and bland song.

I feel like she tries and love what she's doing but I wouldn't say she's particularly talented in that field. She's a good singer and very passionate about music but that's as far as it goes.

To me she looks like a member most into fashion.

If she decides to continue in yg despite the probability of continuing releasing minimal musical output, then most likely yes it's only a persona.

well her contract rn is done with YG having the control, if the next contract has her with more control then your reasoning is denied entirely

Yeah it’s definitely a persona.. I think she genuinely loves music but she’s not naturally talented and YG did not do her any favours by not training her. She probably more into fashion than music now. It’s easier too.

I think a little bit. But stans work with whatever they're given.
