0.14% seems to be pretty weak. Even if Kakao Entertainment has an IPO of $10 billion, that is a mere $14 million.

Even we add the share of her proxy, which is estimated as 2/3 of what she is supposed to have been allocated at, that is only $23.5 million, similar to what an average BTS member had been awarded to.

0.14% seems speculation only for this issue. Who knows what she already holds?

  • Still she is able to give discounts on concert tickets to the disabled.

And still no product placement/advertisements on IUTV/Palette, but missing children ads.

Seems even after supposedly losing control, the company still goes by her precedents and not squeeze for profits.

When a company is sold, the ex owner retains some rights for usually 3 years. Given that IU used Melon (kakao) to distribute her music, it is quite complicated so I think they are letting her to do what she used to for this round, since the concert plan was arranged back in February when she was the owner.

  • Well Kakao unlike HYBE, has no reason or need to mess with its successful act.

It is not highly dependent on her, for it has massive business outside of Kpop production. And as long as she is bringing in the money, has high credibility/reputation - they are not going squeeze her for such stuff.

In any case, we can revisit this in 2025?

Probably since I intend to be in akp as long as Lee Jieun remains in KPop.

  • Hah.. you started only in 2012(?), She has been around since the Tang Dynasty.. 8o

    She will outlast Kpop itself...

Just like the Swedish movie "Let the Right one In" ("Let me in" in American version) where the girl (actually a boy turned girl in the original Swedish version) who sees her handlers pass generations after generations, a concept the creators of Hotel Del Luna borrowed.
