I'm getting a feeling jimin x Jungkook will have a subunit.

too early too say he would be huge

he would need a good song and promotion

His ost was well managed. Don't worry about promo.

kpoppies, keep it together challenge. the amount of people on this board simply salivating over the idea of BTS going away for a bit is hilarious.
this outcome suggested simply will not happen, it’s completely uncharacteristic for how the group or label does things.
also, what’s with the obsession kpop fans with trying to force everyone into acting and modeling? Taehyung has shown no interest in either as a serious pursuit.
everyone needs to just chill and wait to see what happens as the government and label decides what to do.

Taehyung is the one of the members who's probably the most interested in music rn. I don't see him accepting any kdrama acting offer unless it's something really big and prestigious. Some armys have made specific persons of members in their minds.

and still probably will ultimately be exempted despite what kpop fans pray for
It seems like they can't just exempt random people, they have to write it into law. They have to make a KPop section. And that means whatever they choose as the bar for exemption, all boy group fanbases will focus on meeting it. Whether concert attendance/albums sold/billboard entries, as soon as the rule is set there will be a flood of boy groups qualifying within a few years because their companies and fans will make sure of it.
That's why it sucks BTS didn't win a Grammy. That would have been near impossible for any other BG to achieve, and so the perfect qualifying rule. I think the committee is probably stuck now, and although they aren't from a specific party, the fact that Moon has left office makes it less likely too.

72,000 men have received some sort of exemption in recent years, 18k each year as that recent report noted. we can assume those 18k randos aren’t doing close to what BTS is for Korean prestige and probably were given the decision based on their own achievement, as BTS should be. it’s the other K-pop companies getting involved that made this so complicated and annoying. even though the new president is essentially a right wing dictator, conservatives love money and I would not discount some thing working out in their favor. (not really arguing with you, just commiserating). anyway it looks like they’re going to have a series of discussions going through June so let’s hope they decide one way or another soon. 🤷🏻♀️

I dont think they'll be exempted it's better to enlist instead of waiting more it'll make them look ridiculous

Ill be side eyeing the hell out of fans that get mad at jk not enlisting if it’s true
I don’t think I’ll support (his solos are not my taste tbh) but he shouldn’t be forced to enlist because of some ot7 agenda, and even if all hyung line enlist together they’ll still be back in time for group promo before jk is called, he still have 6 or 5 years I think

Suga will follow 2 months after Jin. Losing 2 members in a performance is hard esp if they're touring. Their choreo and setlist is already hard as it is, and Jungkook can't keep carrying them. So, their best bet is to go enlist at once. 18 months is not too long, they can literally do a huge cb after their enlistment and have bigger hype than ever with some promos here & there. BTS is not just some group.

I'd rather BTS enlists together. Hybe has other groups, doesn't it?

Some groups literally have only 4-5 members only. A group like BTS can even have a member do a solo concert, and it will still do well.
And seriously with the way how BTS OT7 music output has been very low in number lately, I would rather have them all go solo for a while. Even if 7 members release only one song per year, that would mean 7 songs.

Jungkook expressed his desire
Jungkook - releasing solo music
expressed his desire to act and have solo concert
V - mixtape for sure maybe acting

enlisting separately will be the end of BTS.
