Limitless is the second EP by NCT 127, a permanent sub-unit of NCT. It was released on January 6, 2017 with its lead single "Limitless."
II. Background and Release
After winning best new artist at the MAMA Awards at the beginning of December 2016, NCT 127 announced at the end of the month that it would add two new members and release a new EP in the coming year. The new members, Johnny and Doyoung, were part of the SM Rookies' pre-debut group and had appeared in the first season of the TV show NCT Life with the other future members of NCT 127 and NCT Dream. Doyoung had previously debuted in NCT in 2016 on "The 7th Sense," although he did not have a permanent sub-unit.
Teaser videos and photos led up to the EP's release on January 6, including two music videos released on January 5. The EP was available in 3 versions and featured 6 songs, including the title track "Limitless" and the b-side, "Good Thing," which would also be performed on Korean music shows. "Good Thing" was previously released as a collaboration music video with W Korea and Esteem models on December 5, 2016 with members Yuta, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Mark, and Winwin participating in it.

Limitless entered at number one on the Korean Gaon Album Chart. In the US, it also reached #1 on the Billboard’s World Albums chart and #4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album chart. The EP also reached #13 on the Japanese Oricon charts and #4 in Taiwan, as well as topping the iTunes charts in 5 regions.
The title track reached #4 on Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart.
