Mino (Winner)

  • I. Introduction

    Song Min-ho born in 1993, March 30th, is a South Korean rapper, producer and songwriter under YG Entertainment. Song Min-ho better known by the stage name Mino, debuted in 2014 with the boy group Winner which was formed through the YG survival program "WIN: Who is Next."


    II. Career

    Mino won the survival program "WIN" together with his team named A and debuted with them in 2014 under the group name Winner.

    Mino also became known for his participation in the hip-hop / rap survival show "Show me the Money 4 " from which he emerged as the runner-up. Together with BigBang member Taeyang, he became the best-selling artist with the single "Fear" in the history of the survival show.

    Together with IKON member Bobby, Mino formed the group MOBB in 2016 and released two singles. Mino also appeared in numerous TV shows such as Infinite Challenge, New Journey to the West, and Kang's Kitchen.

    Mino made his official solo debut on November 26th, 2018 with his first studio album XX, featuring the lead single "Fiance".

    "Fiance" went to #1 in several charts and earned him the "Best Hip-Hop Award" at the Golden Disk Award as well as several other nominations.

    In 2019 Mino made his runway debut and became the first Korean artist to walk down the runway of Louis Vuitton's show, held in Paris.

    In 2020, Mino released his second self-produced solo album Take. In the latter half of the year Mino's acrylic paintings were shown in Saatchi Gallery as part of the Korean Eye 2020: Creativity and Daydream exhibit.
