SM Station - DreamWorks Trolls x SM Station (SM Station Season 3)


  • I. Introduction

    DreamWorks x SM Station is a digital single featuring members of NCT Dream and Red Velvet. This was a promotional tie-in with the Trolls movie, as well as part of SM Station Season 3. It was released on December 13, 2018.


    II. Background and Overview

    SM Station is a digital music project under SM Entertainment that involves solos or duets from members in existing SM groups, as well as opportunities for singers to experiment in other genres or collaborate with artists inside and outside of SM Entertainment. The project releases a number of singles digitally each year on digital platforms, including streaming audio like Spotify.


    Teenage members of SM groups participated on two singles for the OST of DreamWorks Animation "Trolls", including Red Velvet's Yeri and NCT Dream's Jaemin, Jeno, Renjun, Chenle and Jisung. The songs were opening and closing songs of the movie's Korean version, including the lead single "Hair in the Air" 예리X런쥔X제노X재민 and the b-side "Best Day Ever." The songs were also released as the second release of SM Station Season 3.


    "Hair in the Air" was described by SM as "an exciting dance pop song with a strong drum beat."
