Dark concepts have been around since 1st generation kpop, and continue onto this day. However maybe not so heavy as say around the 2nd generation and beginning of 3rd generation.

These didnt kick start it however some these vids definitely had a dark concept from violence to haunting ones.

Bang Yong Guk and Secret's Ji Eun "Going Crazy" however is way beyond dark, it's about stalking! Bang Yong Guk even apologized to listeners after they said the lyrics weren't dark enough, can you believe that!
