Usually one group has to completely fade or go into hiatus before another group takes over. I think Twice is still too strong for another girl group to be relevant in JYP. All the attention for girl group in JYPE is still going toward Twice.

Aespa for one short moment in time was the leading top 4rth gen girl group. Red Velvet has never in their lifetime been close or anywhere near the top group in their generation. Aespa's peak is definitely higher.

I had a feeling I picked the one member who came from money.
So I looked into it and confirmed that Soyu also bought a real estate property and sold it for millions.
They're all living well, despite zero touring. Wonder how they pulled it off, since they only had their consecutive #1 hit songs to keep them just barely above the poverty line
The members from groups that can tour will be 10x better. Soyou basically had to put her life savings for the down payment of a building and was fortunate enough that it appreciated where she made some money from selling it. Of course you won't live in poverty if you're able to sell number 1 digitally but if your group could tour, you can probably live a lot more luxurious lifestyle after your prime.

There is money in touring, but people need to stop acting like you can't make any good money as an artist without it.
Being loved by the public makes good money too long term
Dasom is probably the richest Sistar member. Her family was already well off. She also was in dramas where she was lead or second lead which makes more money than selling digital.

It's so obvious a lot of groups/solo buy ads. However, I find it weird that JYPE never bought any for Jihyo. Most of the groups that released around same time as Jihyo like Aespa and Somi have over 50 million views in a month. Stay C has more than 30 million views in a month. Jihyo still only has about 16 million views but all of the mentioned groups above have fewer real views than Jihyo under that weekly youtube chart. Even Misamo has less real views than Jihyo under that weekly youtube chart but they are over 50 million views after a month. Why buy ads for Misamo but not for Jihyo?
