its tough question cause I love both and they are so different but I choose SNSD overall cause they have a wider and more varied discography

By total numbers yes, BP is the overall #1 but as others have pointed out, you can't really compare groups from different generations since pretty much everything is different. SNSD has their place in history, standing the test of time. Only time will tell what will happen with the 3rd gen GGs but i think BP will probably stay strong as well.

I think this makes sense and could work for them. Lets face it, YG is not a very good management and takes a lot of time for them to be ready to release a full comeback, especially for a big act like Blakcpink, its makes no sense for the members to be waiting around for and OT4 or a solo, when they could be doing their own thing . When YG has the project ready, they can work on it, wether thats a comeback or a tour or both.

This way YG has a strong reason to want a BP comeback to happen, because its the only way they'll get money form them. Meanwhile, they can work on their own stuff, with a management dedicated 100% to them.

Its different from SNSD because them members not in SM have no contract obligation with them and vice versa. Meaning that everytime they want to do a project, they need to discuss every aspect from 0 and there's no obligation to do project together at all.

the song is not bad but if they wanted to use spanish they could have gone for a complete sentence, like "me gustas tu". But I guess this is how knetzs feel when they get random english thrown around in their kpop

Hyoyeon has composing credits for he solo stuff I think, not for the group though. Its cool that tiffany finally got the chance to compose for SNSD

I like it, its kinda sounds more like bigbang to me structure wise. The vocals are really good IMO. I think the instrumental could have gone harder, specially in the batter up part and in the last part.

Since you can't compare metrics from different gens then this becomes a subjective question as to who was more popular relative to their time. Some people are saying that its because they don't remember how big Twice was at their peak but the same applies to SNSD. The fact that we are in the 4th gen going on to the 5th and SNSD is still relevant in these discussions is a testament to their impact. I guess we can agree to disagree .

I don't know whether he is abusing drugs or not, he might be tbh but its been quite evident he hasn't been well for a while. He seems gaunt, skinny and quite out for it most of the time, idk if its drugs or that he genuinelydoesn't want to be there or both. He has been in the industry since he was really young and who knows what has actually happened in YG.

As i understand, the trial is not over right? They lost the injunction but the trial for contract termination is still on going. This is probably further evidence for that, as they have always claimed to have suffered serious heath issues. We'll see what happens.

Well the elimintaed members were the most unpopular with the exception of Mei. Even if Hybe liked Brookly, fans didn't. I'm sad to see Iliya go, she grew a lot on me, she was talented and seem very nice but I think her visuals weren't popular, even though she's a pretty girl. Its also sad to see Mei go, she was my favorite from the japanese girls and she was the best at speaking english, if Hybe wanted a japanese girl in the group, she was the best IMO. Ua is super talented but she's so young, doesn't speak english and she's a lot tinnier than some of the other contestants so i don't know if she will fit.

well the rumor was something like the other members re-signed for 5 years and she only did for 3 or something like that. Its just a rumor though, idk if its true but her lack of activities made me think of that. I thought Tzuyu was going to have a really strong solo career after renewals, as well as nayeon, but its strange that she hasn't. Maybe she is only interested in music and she's waiting for her turn for a solo? who knows

I thought it was strange too, she has a lot of potential as solo. I remember there was a rumor that she only renew her contrat for 3 years, maybe JYP doesn't want to invest in her since she is leaving earlier? It could also be because of the china issue
