ımo kpop is ındustry because more than art itself money and company mindset more dominated factor in kpop. but ı also think kpop as a subculture like maybe manga, anime etc. like for ex. there is a variety of kpop fans and those fans have their own inside jokes, aims around certain groups, etc. or fandoms wear, and consume certain fashion items...

Le Sserafim currently has more monthly streams on Spotify than aespa, katseye, ıve (except new jeans) Le Sserafim seems to have a larger audience in the west compared to other kpop groups. maybe this could be the reason for Dua Lipa's choice.
Le Sserafim : 14,635,112
new jeans: 16,044,827
blackpink: 16,527,724
ıllıt : 10,952,101
twice: 8,786,096
redvelvet : 6,452,077
katseye: 13,305,449
aespa: 12,222,759
babymonster : 7,324,909
kiss of life : 6,482,109
ıve: 6,228,378

there is already a group of people practically called hype stan, so for me, this means as long as they remain to stay in ındusrty whether it is a good reputation or bad, there is always going to be an audience for hype groups so that their reputation remains as big as sm and jyp. that kind of scandals pretty much happen frequently to the point people forget, but the audience stays. plus bts's fame and reputation is still alive so there is a very small chance that HYPE will ever end.

ı think it is mostly because of timing. I think the distinguishing feature of BTS and BP is that they have large fan bases outside of Asia, in Western countries such as brazil and usa. that times there weren't active and strong fanbase in west. exo's songs were too diverse for foreigners on the other hand bigbang were not that active in social media and in korea. when it comes to blackpink there were gfriend and twice but g friend couldn't appeal western fans because of their concept on the other hand twice's multiple members formula was distracting for western fans. in the end kpop industry was empty and with the power of social media, BTS and BP gained rapid popularity. before blackpink and bts, even the most popular groups didn't have huge western fans as bts and bp. but now is different kpop industry has reached a certain saturation with social media, plus current groups are not able to become a dominant force.

yg. and ı think that's okey. those big labels all have their identity. sm known for their experimantal sounds while jyp's sound more lively etc. for ex. why would yg try to sound trendy, there is ton of groups and labels in kpop ent. people free to discover new things. so for me not changing is not that bad tho.

Someone plz post videos of each member's voices singing songs so I, a casual BM fan, but not BM stan, can also post my opinion~
ı do not have compilation of members but there are two short clips of members where you can see their vocals overall and get some ideas about their vocals. there are also predebut videos but that might takes a lot of time
