Supernatural will probably not enter top 200 in today update. Tomorrow is their best chance for an entry

Their peak in the spotify daily top artist chart is very low compared to last year (85 vs 8). I would say they are still the most popular 4 generation gg on global spotify since others gg can't stay in top 200 daily top artist and top 500 monthly listerners more than a few weeks and tend to drop a lot faster than NJ . The gap is not that big anymore and it's not impossible to see Le Sserafim or Aespa pass them in 2025 if they can release a few successul mini album and than Newjeans' one have similar performance to their last one. Of course the drop from last year performance is not due to only indonesia and others southeast Asia countries. I only said that they would perform as good as Aespa/Babymonster on spotify top 200 if they had similar streaming numbers than them in indonesia. They'll still be very far from their last year top. I just wondered why that can't get in indonesia top 200 anymore while lots of k-pop songs are doing crazy spotify number there

Newjeans last release doing less good than babymonster and aespa on global spotify is only due to indonesia Super Shy was doing like 400k daily there, babymonster doing more than 500k this year. How sweet and Supernatural are not even in top 200. Don't have any knowledge about this country, maybe someone have some explanation?

Their older song still show no signs of weakening. Bubblegum daily streams are already below Super Shy

Will be interesting to see how far they daily streams fall after a few months without release. If it fall to around 4m like Le Sserafim currently, that would be a bit worrisome for their future global success . Seems also than they get no more streams from indonesia and philippines which are usually big part of k-pop songs streams on spotify

You should look at the total daily streams and monthly listeners are those are the stats that matter the most to assess an artist current popularity Only looking at a single song performance is quite dumb

Blackpink and Newjeans are the only 2 GG capable to stay more than a few months in the top 500 artist with most monthly listerners and even them are far away from the top All k-pop GG have terrible spotify number so it probably doesn't make sense to be so obsessed by it

Sheesh is also more successful than Supernova and Easy outside South Korea Don't really see the point of this thread. It's an awful song compared to how sweet, supernova, easy but it seems to be liked by european/american k-pop fan

I think it's kinda the perfect song/mv to catch american/european (the one that didn't care about how sweet) public attention

Song is really good and addictive

And even with this flop, they have more daily streams than Aespa that released a full album with 2 of their most successful single on spotify...

The gap will be to big by the time Le Sserafim release a new CB.

Newjeans is currently the most daily streamed gg on Spotify (they just passed aespa), the most streamed in 2024 and the gg with most monthly listeners. With 2 new songs coming next week, the gap will only get bigger

Still a long way to go for Aespa to take Newjeans spot on spotify. A few recently released successful songs is not enough to beat a whole catalog of songs with strong daily streaming number despite the supposed boycott

Even with this flop, they'll still easily be the most streamed kpop girl group in 2024 Their total streaming number for 2024 will be well over 2 000 000 000. Don't think that there is an international boycott since all their older songs keep to have strong daily streaming number. It's not possible to have big international hits like OMG, Ditto and Super Shy each CB

NewJeans will surpass Blackpink in a few days since their daily streams are currently bigger due to their 2 new songs

Streaming numbers are still really good for all Newjeans songs

Good possibility that they'll pass Blackpink and be 2024 most streamed girl group thanks to their 4 new songs .
