Nmixx is basically Kyujin and friends anyway so they’ll probably just give Kyujin even more lines.

JYP Squ4d seems to think otherwise. Kyujin is the member they keep pushing. Two promotion eras in O.O and Dice and both screen time features Kyujin prominently.

So i would say, Haewon doesn’t seem to be their priority, sadly.

Two things that stood out: Finally an Nmixx MV that showcases all 7 members fairly rather than just another Kyujin and friends vid! And also... finally a normal sounding song that showcases their vocals over their unorthodox dance concepts.

1st part of the song focus on dance the 2nd part focus on vocals before finishing up with dance again. That way they make use of the other members with stronger vocal talents and not just waste it on this weird dance showcase in their MV.

Seems like JYP is doing the opposite, make the music first before the artist.

I wasn’t defending their division, they obviously made so many bad choices. Just saying they still have a big fan base despite all the errors.

When you say poor metrics, do you mean how it’s charting?

JYPE isn't known for their lady singers' singing ability. This is an area of opportunity worth improving. Having a group of 7 members who can dance AND sing better than most id0l groups still isn't that common.

JYP has really good young vocalists in that group, Lily and Haewon voice stand out, but their mix pop hardly ever showcases it.

They’re more concerned on the noise their song makes.

Nmixx’s debut song O.O being critically panned and now their first comeback, Dice, not fairing well either among the general public, JYP will have another 5-6 months of planning their next comeback which would be around Feb-Mar 2023.

Should they try to change up their sound? Or continue sticking to this “mix pop” genre?

What would you hope to see Kyujin and Friends do when they return again in 2023?

To this day, I still hear my local radio stations sometimes play older One Direction songs, but I haven’t heard them play either BTS’ Dynamite or Butter for over a year.

Just go to other forums like Reddit or Kprofiles or even Twitter, people are calling Nmixx basically Kyujin and friends 😂

Kyujin always gets most screen time by a lot and even gets more lines than both Nmixx’s supposed main vocalists (Lily, Haewon).

Watch their MVs and you can see JYP is giving her the Miss A Suzy treatment all over again.

JYP has someone like Lily who has one of the best vocals on Kpop, yet instead of capitalizing on that, they put her in a group that produces weird music that doesn’t showcase it.

Also more glaring is JYP seem more interested on pushing Kyujin’s future solo career rather than the group itself.

JYP will disband Nmixx and let Kyujin start her solo career, both their releases are basically a Kyujin and friends showcase.

Nmixx is supposedly a group, but all I get from them is a Kyujin and friends vibe especially in this MV.
