Nobody has said she didn't do well, both of them have been doing amazing for a decade. The person I replied to on the other hand made the whole argument was that IU just randomly started doing better than Taeyeon "because Taeyeons music isn't turning heads" acting like IU didn't have a huge boost through her hallyu dramas and collabs. It's literally just fact, you can just look at various statistics from before and after and compare.

Lol it has nothing to do with Taeyeons music. IU got a huge boost in physical sales through her hallyu DRAMAS that got her popular in china and she got major ifan hype by collaborating with GD and BTS. Taeyeon sticks to music and rarely does any collabs. That's why IU is ahead in physical sales nowadays. Both Taeyeon and IU fans who can't deal with that reality can f off. They're both doing amazing.

First hit January 2008, latest hit February 2022. Nobody else has that kind of longevity. She is a legend, appreciate that or go token stan someone else.
