I think they should probably try to go for a cyberpunk vibe, to embrace that yea- they ain't lookin real- but then again it seemed like Pulse9 was going for a stereotypical kpop idol group rather than a *lets embrace the wonk* idea

personally a cyberpunk vibe can give them lots of leeway when it comes to the uncanny valley; if they embrace the fact that the faces don't really pass for human then it could help the situation.

I agree its focking creepy but I like the intent behind it and repackaging and refining this concept could easily help in getting it accepted better.

It seems like the did run compression or some sort of processing but I'd bet that they are planning that as a setup into audio deepfaking. Especially the kind that blends multiple voices into one new voice. That channel *was* an ai enthusiast channel before, after all.

Everybody using deepfake for unethical reasons can rightly Fnck right off and jump into the blast range of the next volcano while holding grenades hampster style in their faces cheeks.

They're the reason Deepfake has such a bad rap and its honestly endlessly frustrating the amount of hate that a content creator can get using deepfakes. I'm not naming names though, I don't want to make the situation harder than it already is.

2 nitpicks. 1 not enough data! some of the members have blurry facial features and some others' have the "always front" facial syndrome, indicative of not feeding enough face data that include faces from angles. 2. Use reference photos that have matching lighting to the set that they are working in! That DOES mean that you have to be constantly training the neural net for each production but that will fix the "dead-man walking" syndrome where the skin looks sallow or jaundiced.

If you are looking for a good Neural Net to train on, however, I'd recommend facewap.dev 's Villain Neural net to train on. You'll need ~2M iterations but you'll eventually get there! its not to hard on a personal PC and I'd imagine that a production company has plenty of workstations that can outgun a personal PC by a mile.

I was thinking I wanted to make a discreet processor using npn transistors. Ive already gotten a 100MHz clock and plan on buying the hundreds of transistors to make a simple 128 bit computer with lots of ALU cores. Was wondering if this kind of processor could help do auxillary computing by using an fpga to directly write to a "system memory" via a usb connection? I've already done a relay computer but due to how wrapped up the registries were (and the sheer size and noise that honker has) I decided that it was not a good idea to try to create a usb "interpreter" for it. btw I plan to slow down the 100Mhz clock to about 1mhz to switch 2n2222 transistors via a free wheeling binary counter made of STSA1805 transistors.
