like for example people couldn't shut up about zzb or psycho for months since one was very weird and strange and the other was so perfect, same for the b-sides, the reve festival in general has some of the best b-sides rv ever released

i have some conflicting thoughts on this topic, like i know that it's their own bodies and they have the right to do whatever they like, and i know what it feels to be insecure about your face or your body (since i used to have a really bad and damaged teeth before i fixed them) but at the same time these celebs (not just kpop but in general) are setting some really high beauty standards that can't be achievable naturally, and most girls and teens feel pressured to look a certain way if they want to be "pretty" but at the same time celebs and kpop idols don't only sell music and talents they are also selling looks so idk as i said it's complicated

when did i say bts are depending on them? anyways take a look at this thread and you'd see the "omg what a waste of money, omg they should've donate these money" comments and while i agree with them no one say that they should donate the money they use to bulk buy albums because "new records for my faves yay"
Companies are making hundreds of thousands of no millions on BTS name and affiliate without bts seeing a dime.
you know i find it funny that you're worried about bts income as if they're not multilloniers and have money more than all people in this forum combined
Why not do these events for something useful like album or single promo if you’re gonna do it, but it’s always something bigger and bigger to outdo other solo stans events or to push weird as shipping!
so what if the members like them ? are they still useless in your opinion ? cus i do remember tae saying that his family once went to watch some project his korean fanbase did two years ago and he wished he was free to go watch it as well, or when he was happily filming his birthday ads in time square last year, i don't follow other members but i'm sure they are as happy with their projects as him, but i guess for you everything is useless if it's not about records and achievements and numbers

Why would any of us thinking it’s a waste of money or dick measuring contest necessarily mean we’re scared of the actual members doing solo stuff if they want to? Does not compute… That’s up to them! I have no issue with whether or not one of the members has more fans than any of the others, and those particular fans who organise these projects may well be doing it because they love their biases, but it doesn’t mean this sort of project is not getting more and more wildly over the top and costing CRAZY amounts of money.
well if you don't care then it's good for you but i was quoting that user who was talking about popularity and power dynamics and stuff, but let's not pretend that these kinds of army don't exit, you see them every day on twitter crying about fancams views and this silly stuff.
now for the second part of your answer i actually do agree that these events and projects are a huge waste of money, and personally wouldn't waste my money like that but my point is, what is the difference between c-bars bulk-buing albums and them doing these projects, in my opinion both of them are waste of money, and both of them are for dick measuring contest but one is acceptable and one is not why do you think is that

I think it's because we know that these 'fanbases' are trying to buy themselves the right to control their fave's life. They will be the same one sending trucks at Hybe's headquarters, complaining how their fave is mistreated, and would be sooo popular as solo artist instead because clearly BTS is dragging them down ect...

They are not trying to brag in front of other fandoms. They are trying to brag in front of other members and ARMY ( and other akgaes I guess )
you know i find it weird that you'd rather have these thoughts in your mind instead of just accepting that they're doing this because they simply love him, and cmon it's been more than 8 years you guys can't gate keeping the boys from solos forever especially when everyone of them has put out some solo materials, and no matter how much you hate it but in every group some members are gonna be more popular that others, it's just how life is, and please this is bts where talking about everyone of them is more powerful that 99% of other kpop idols, and i personally don't know why y'all sacred from solos like this since none of them is thinking of a solo career rn, and none of them is doing any sort of solo projects, it just doesn't make sense
