I don't know about others but reading some of the supposed bad shit he's done doesn't seem all thaaat bad. Some bias reporting here, a bit of over stepping there isn't really different from what you see on other kpop news sites/individuals. I've seen stories about my faves half reported and the rest exaggerated or filled in, same with other idols. Hell NB for example literally makes a career doing that and sometimes even directly fueling the fires but people still run to the articles. Sounds a bit like kpop fans went a bit over board again

Ghosts, not sure. I mean we're still trying to understand the universe around us and with the talk of different dimensions, multiverses and realities and of course we don't definitely know what happens to people when they die. So who knows if ghosts do exist in a different plane of existent.

Game of thrones. Everyone was hyping it up a few years ago (like S3 or 4 or something). I watched the 1st season and didn't really care for anything that was happening. Ironically the same people that kept telling me to watch now longer even acknowledge the series at all lol

The difference is sports are meant to be drum up adversaries, they are playing against each other after all. Kpop is just music. No idol is up against another with shit like money on the line, a trophy on the line or even just bragging rights the definitive best team in the country/world for the time being. Kpop fans are fighting each other over nothing that matters

A lot of groups no matter their successes still aren't as beloved as SNSD. I mean SNSD could appear on a random TV show and immediately get some of the highest ratings of the year or even the shows history. They went beyond just another popular music group.

As an overall artist I gotta say SNSD because they went beyond just another successful group from SM and became a phenomenon:

did a ton of shit no other SM group ever did (may be ever will again), were mega popular with the public, changed the industry in many ways and of course for a long while were the biggest group in kpop. That sort of impact doesn't come everyday and SM has yet to replicate that type of success.

But for sheer importance and value to SM itself it's unequivocally Boa. She basically singlehandedly kept the company going when most of their acts at the time had left or were doing ok to bad. To top it off she did all that as a literal kid.

This one is on me but there were rumours there was going to be a large group so a possible SNSD 2.0 but obviously that didn't take.

There was a ton buzz about their avatar concept but in the end it turned out to be nothing, at least for now. Currently there's nothing really unique or standout out about them as a 4 member group.
