i think they were talking western countries each as sample not collectively.
i don’t agree. just a sample is exo. they are heavily popular in china but they cannot grab global endorsements (like blackpink and bts) that will open gates to more fans that can discover them and their music.
this might depend on another factor.
Chinese population: 1,394,015,977
USA population: 329,877,505so you need to clarify because both of you say "western fans" but being western doesn't mean being only from USA :) so you basically saying "whole world which is west outside Asia: meaning Europe + USA + Canada
