Maybe they decided to go with a publisher that can ship worldwide without charging astronomical weverse prices.

I'm waiting for self-proclaimed anti-capitalist Suga, who is currently the only BTS member financially benefiting from this exploitative and deceptive dynamic ticket pricing, to speak up against it. He may have been unaware before, but he should be aware now or very soon. Let's see if principle trumps profit for him.
I don't know how naive it is for me to believe that BTS has enough agency to veto something like this for their own concerts. I like to think that they will speak up for their fans on such an important issue. They can make up the lost revenue easily by streaming their concerts.

They don't want to play the corrupt game by paying for it.

Will be interesting to see how much support they provide JK, especially with Scooter Braun already boosting him.

I hate country music and even I know who he is.

Not being Korean, none of this is my business but I'm glad for Bangtan that there will be a resolution soon.
I think unless they are idiots, the government will make a decision that is best for their country. And because BTS are the most famous, visible, and arguably impactful cultural ambassadors for their country, the best thing is to find a solution that keeps them in the public eye.

Having met Nobel laureates (work), I can attest that being a legend does not preclude being an a**.

Check his page esp the likes it’s a mess
I think I'll avoid exposing my brain to more of his ugly. His mug in the BB article looks like all it's missing is a maga cap.

This says a lot about his character. Mean spirited little shit. Just this once, I'm glad Billboard wrote something about it.
I also appreciate that BB included a terribly unflattering pic of the cretin. He looks like the exact opposite of cool.

So ... a 57-yo white dude producer who shared a grammy win for best rap song on Sunday but missed out on album of the year is bitter enough about losing to lash out at a group that wasn't even nominated in either category. And while he's at it, he admits that he'd like to make money off said group by collaborating?
Seems to me that this dude has already lost in life where it matters. One doesn't show that amount of ugly in public without being a mess.

Scalping already? Evil vultures.

Too many responses to read, but I'll chime in with: welcome to free enterprise and capitalism. This is how the world has been running for a *very* long time. I know many of you are young and disappointed you can't buy everything you want but ... this is also something you will just have to accept.
In my opinion, there is nothing outrageous about the merch pricing. If it were genuinely outrageous, they wouldn't be selling out all the time. And the clothing prices are pretty comparable to similarly branded items in the US, so not outrageous in that context either.
Buy what you can afford to want, walk past what you can't. Don't bother wasting energy lamenting - just find something else to want that you can afford. Take it from someone old: there will *always* be something you want that you can't afford or don't want to pay for. That's okay. Just walk away.
This is a first-world privileged consumer "problem." Save your outrage for something genuinely important.

I mean bts did their best but that man is so disappointing
icb he kept on repeating that it was a harmless "joke"
I'll be honest, I've only watched it once. It was too embarrassing/cringe for me to watch the second time. But I'm still iffy about their reactions too because it does not seem like a 'callout' to me. It's just a way to make fans move on and support this.
And James repeating this made me more pissed.
I think Corden wanted to clear the air without actually apologizing, but RM made it clear an apology was expected and basically let Corden embarrass himself when he didn't actually apologize.
In the end BTS came across as gracious to an undeserving Corden and loyal to their fans, and Corden came across as a weak snivelling fake.
So that ended up being much more entertaining than I expected.

Slightly different demo, methinks....

And the entire industry is copying them, hoping for just a fraction of their success.
Legend-ary.

I've heard BTS songs during televised NFL, MLB, and college football games. That's pretty much the definition of mainstream in the US.
