The thing is he’s not a belter -or at least he’s gone in that direction a couple of times and did well but it’s apparent that’s not how he likes to approach singing- so for some people that automatically excludes him from being considered a ‘good vocalist’ as if constant belting was the end-all of vocal technique. Jk’s a very consistent performer, in all these years I could probably count on one hand the amount of times he was visibly off which must mean something lol

Both sides of the discussion are wrong bc it’s all speculation unless you directly acquired private information which I hope no one did. Logically it would make sense for them to spend time there during activities bc assuming they get driven around it’d be more time consuming for the drivers to get 7 dudes in different parts of the city. Also w the pandemic it’s probably better to live in the same place if they spend a lot of time together instead of staying separate and potentially spread shit to a lot of other people

Obviously a lot of fans are deranged but bts has never had an overly sensual image like 2pm and the songs that do explicitly revolve around romantic or sexual love are pretty much gender neutral so they don’t necessarily require to be performed with women either. Bts members have performed alongside women in the past (jk in king of masked singer and that butterfly song, Jimin w the dancing stage) but nowadays male and female idols in general don’t really interact anymore

Got7 and Rv never had a dating scandal either and they’re only 1 and 2 years younger than them, it’s not really something unheard of. Tho With the way fans react when any of them is seen to be actually capable of having human interactions with a person of the female gender I doubt they’d willingly put themselves and their so through that rn, and if there’s one or more non straight members they’ll never date publicly

Rap and singing critiques are incomparable tho. Singing has been a thing across every culture for thousands of years and pop singing is universal and cannot be attributed to one single group of people, while Rap is a genre on its own as well as a part of a specific culture that is made of already disenfranchised people, so it makes sense for black Americans (and anyone who actively listens to hip hop) to be wary of outsiders bastardizing the genre especially since its core values are authenticity and “keeping it real” (and still as bad as most Kpop idols are at rapping, khh rappers would be the biggest offenders but that is a separate issue). Also as someone who values singing as well, while it’s true that there are a lot of bad singers in kpop (or pop in general for that matter), it’s easier to alter someone’s voice in post production which cannot be said for rapping; you either have a good flow from the start and can ride the beat otherwise it will just sound wonky and completely out of place, and it disrupts the song’s flow as a whole
