she's one of those idols who was just destined to be a star, I think she could have debuted in any group and she still would have been super famous and popular.

well it's only a matter of time until it passes DMUMT anyways, usually day 7 is the second biggest day of sales during the week so we're not close to the final number yet. 1 million is possible.

DMUMT sold 789k in its first full week of sales, unless you mean week of release which is a bit unfair since DMUMT only had 2 days of sales since it was released on a Friday. But I've never seen that criteria before for literally any other release.

I can't believe Lay is on all the songs and singing in Korean, he really feels like a full-member again (not that I blame him for being gone). But I was expecting something like Tempo again; ironically enough I feel like his appearance on that album was super hyped up whereas with this one they downplayed it and then his participation was so much more lol. What a great album.

I like it a lot, but the chorus falls the flattest of any of the songs to me. Doesn't excite me really, everything else about the song I like. It's my least favorite song on the album but I can't choose between any of the others for a favorite.

so many idols have gotten surgery of some kind and honestly I would never judge anyone, idol or not, for doing it, it's your body do what you want. She obviously had lip fillers tho, but whatever she looks very pretty regardless.

yes much healthier, I think that makes it easier to be "loyal" in the long run. Kfans put so much into these groups that when something goes "wrong" it's like a catastrophic event and they take it super personally and that's where so much of the toxic behavior comes from.

depends if SM is going to buy 25 million plus views in ads like they've done for others, which I highly doubt. So I would guess like 20 million views. As long as one of those views is mine I don't care though.

I feel like ifans are more loyal in the long-run but they're a lot less committed while they are "stanning." Kfans buy way more albums, are much more hardcore about streaming, and almost always only stan one group but ifans often have tons of biases in multiple groups which is unthinkable for kfans. When I first started getting active on this website I was really surprised how common multi-fans are.

Butter and Dun Dun Dance are the only mega-hits.

Next Level, Don't Call Me and looks like ASAP now are popular enough to at least be called hits.

Hot Sauce did get to #1 so that's something, although it's plummeted in the subsequent weeks, but getting to #1 as an idol group is still worth noting.

I wonder why the account only did "SM group albums" and not "SM artist albums." Seems silly to leave out Baekhyun when he sold over a million copies.

yeah new generation used to just mean when the old most popular groups are superseded by new ones in terms of popularity, but obviously no one's going to surpass BTS for a looong time if ever. So that kind of made all "generation" designations meaningless, especially with 4th gen. Like what is the cutoff for 4th gen anyways?

this means Lay is singing in Korean again right? First time in 5 years!! Also it could be that there is a Chinese version as the initial announcement of there being 5 songs wasn't actually made by SM right? It was by a separate news agency so maybe they just didn't consider a Chinese version as a "new" song.

remember Sehun was like "what if something similar to Baekhyun's album came next?" So many people were speculating his own solo, but maybe he really was just talking about D.O.'s album.

Joy is much more popular in Korea with the GP than Wendy, also she had a really popular OST last year that was also a remake

it's even more lame because 99% of the ifans who brag about it had literally nothing to do with said success because they don't have access to Korean streaming apps.

And then these same people bragging about chart success will will turn around and hate on the same k-fans who got them #1 when their faves don't do as well as they think they should.

they're an SM group, yes they're good for a rookie group but the immense hype and immediate gain of a fandom of that size after just three songs would have only happened for maybe 3 other companies.
