Well, I am just a casual fan of BP tho and here's my feedback:
1. That's good to hear then. Good for her.
2. Hm the fact that she wasn't credited sound sus to me. Either her contribution is too minimal that it's not worth crediting or YG/Teddy did her dirty. Anyway, hard to give feedback since I don't know which part. As for the new version, in all honesty, she still need to practice. In all fairness, it sounds good during the performance. Lyrics wise, it has no substance if you read it carefully.
3. Can't comment I'm no korean.
4. Same feedback with Jennie tho a bit better.
Anyhow, it's not their fault. YG can let them practice writing more if they want. However, like someone said in this thread, writing lyrics isn't really that praiseworthy cause a lot idol has been doing it these days. It's a different thing if they're the one producing/composing their songs tho.
Still, they really shouldn't be bothered of how the public (and maybe even blinks?) wants them to be.

Y'all are stanning K-pop idols, since when did writing lyrics hold this much of an importance? It's all about the song, the visuals, and the ability to perform on stage, who even care about writing in K-pop except for the ones who want to brag about "my fav is a genius this and that".
I mean yeah it's great if one can write and add their own touch but it doesn't really matter to me, as long as the song you put out is worth listening to. Imagine being able to write, produce only to put out a shitty song that isn't even worth listening to, so what's the purpose?
No one should be pressured to write, produce or compose just because kpopies want to hold that against you. Idols have an entire team in the company whose job is to do that already, they shouldn't be required to perform someone else's job.
It's great to see the Blackpink girls participate in their stuff, but who cares about what other K-pop stans say, bp are not required to prove anything to anyone. The most important thing is that their results are always great and they continue to do their job as singers and performers making their fans happy.

I am not a blink but I will say this again. YOU HAVE TO APPRECIATE THEIR WORK ETHIC. They may not have gotten to include as many songs on "The Album" as they would like, they also had to fight to even put out that album. Their releases are very limited but as we have seen in their interviews, they have fought with YG to try to change this as much as possible. They are trying very hard to work as hard as possible for their fans and their company has blocked them at many turns.

To be honest, they still have a long way to go. A few lyrics credits is a good start but there's nothing groundbreaking. Lots of gg members have some lyrics credits here and there. But composition or production credits? Now that's another story.
