I had to get PayPal involved recently due to a seller I purchased something that they never even shipped it. They had excuse after excuse as to why they hadn’t shipped it yet. I was sick, I’m on vacation, I forgot, Etc. Finally they stopped responding to me at all. So naturally I got PayPal involved because I spent a lot of money on this. They ruled in my favor and I got refunded.
With you not receiving the item that you purchased I’m feeling like PayPal should rule in your favor. You didn’t purchase a ps4, you purchased a ps5 and they sent you a ps4.
My friend got scammed this summer. Paid $150 dollar for an item that never arrived. My friend opened a dispute but nothing happened. That's why I'm pretty certain I won't get my money back. But I'll wait and see.

I fucking kid you not the post-service of my country wrote on their website that they would've sended it to my door at 4:59am (wtf what time is this even?) and that I wouldn't have been home (fuck off, I am at hom at 5am you ass) and so I checked the notes they put onto that saying it was given to a neighbor instead (no it was not. No neighbor would take packages or even open the door at 5am for the post-service... wtf is this shit even.. 5am?)
I contacted the post-service and those fuckers said: "Since you are not the seller, we give a fucking shit about your package" and I got sooooo mad like: Bitch where the fuck did you lost my item you ass
I later contacted the seller and they gave me my money back
Omg what a story. From my experience, package delivery NEVER show up at my door. They're too lazy. I once sat at home waiting, and I got a message saying they rang on my doorbell but no one was home. I was at home, and no one came. This happens everytime. So I always have to pick up my packages myself.

and also consider the fact that its near impossible to get a ps5 for a reasonable price rn
if you play games for games, and not for flexing, a ps4 slim should be enough
that said, I'd recommend not playing Cyberpunk
as much as i wanna play that game too, it runs like ass and the ps4 version is super empty to make it runnable

Okay thanks for telling me. I won't play that game. I just hope I'll be able to play the newer games on the slim. Like hogwarts legacy that's coming out next year. I'll have to wait and see

you can check up benchmarks for games you wanna play
its fine if you dont mind okay-ish fps its just bad value for money

yeah if i'm stuck with it i'm just gonna play the games i bought anyway and try to stay positive. the box could've been empty but i got something at least. so i'm sad but also happy that i got something. i've heard of people getting nothing. that is worse

Unlucky dude.
Even if you keep the PS4 you got scammed hard, you can get a PS4 with a couple bundles from about 200. It's probably even cheaper with sales and newer consoles around. But at least you got some great faves to play and there digital sales going on. Some games I recommended include God of War (imo one of the very best games ever), spiderman, doom eternal, dark souls 3, Bloodborne, persona 5, hitman 1, 2 or 3 and so on. It's still a good library of games.
As for ps5 tbh it's not worth buying from a non mainstream store because of scalpers. You either end up paying double the price or getting scammed.
Though if I'm being honest it's really not worth it to get ps5 ATM. That's not any must have killer ps5 games outside Ratchet and Clank. Most people are replaying older enhanced versions of Ps4 games (bigger resolution or better frame rate).
Xbox series X or S could be worth it. The game pass means you can play almost any game, new or old, for a flat money fee. It's basically Netflix for games. Like ps5 though there's no killer game apart for it apart from Forza horizon of you like racing games and upcoming Halo infinite.But again same stock issues as ps5.
The anxiety I feel right now is intense. I feel buyers guilt over everything. That's why i wanted the PS5 cheaper. But now I feel so bad I can't explain it.

even if you're only looking for HD gaming, ps4 pro is the minimum that I think people would actually go for
ps4 base is a mid tier machine from 2013 era
it just doesnt hold up in any modern title
that said, you can enjoy a lot of REALLY iconic games on it so, if you're stuck with it, it wont be too bad

Yes I only want PS. Otherwise I would've bought the new slimmer xbox. I have a list of games I want to play and most of them are not on xbox.
