I really love the promo they're doing Japan atm (tho I really appreciate BH promoting them in places like Japan, Korea, and India beyond the usual America that most are currently aiming for). It seems to be working to an extent.

I think it's the result of a mix of things. IIRC they never fell back down below 3m listeners since minisode was released (even debut era didn't reach 3m listeners). The fact that Force was added to quite a number of Japanese playlists probably has a part to play to their rising monthly listeners. I didn't expect them to repeak until korean cb season again tho, so I'm ecstatic

we're doing it slowly but surely! I really can't wait till we break all debut achievements one day. Here's to hoping the next cb would show great improvement as well ~

Blue Hour actually had one of the lowest first day streams among their Korean releases (album and title track streams, only doing better than Magic's Run Away), but to see the consistency and stability months later is amazing. YT streams (in terms of MV and the official audio) are going about in a similar manner as well. Not quite an explosive start, but it's doing way better in the long run.

i'm gonna sound biased, but it's TXT's Blue Hour for me (every choice in the poll actually had to grow on me, Blue Hour included).

I have to say, Given-Taken, Inception, and Jungle (by CIX) are very very very close seconds. Ab6ix just released Stay Young a few hours ago too, and it's shaping up to be one of my fave title tracks from them since debut.

hopefully Force charts well! Though, I think Drama reached top 5 after the physical and mv release. The week before that, it charted on the 80's of Hot100 and shot up to top 5 after the official physical release.

I'm not so sure if it works the exact same way for Force since it's an album instead of a physically released single. And they're releasing an MV for Blue Hour instead of Force. Fingers crossed it sells well either way and that the Jp ver of Blue Hour charts well too ~

fandom size =/= no. fans who stream

Not every fan is a streamer. Some put more effort into that while some don't, plus streaming only gets you so far. Without the support of the GP and new unique listeners (since charts would sooner or later filter streams) - if your song doesn't click, then it wouldn't really chart that long either. Plus physicals can be easily inflated by the buying of multiple copies/versions. Streaming/Digitals too can be inflated by fandoms, but it's more heavily regulated than physicals.

Anyways, what's the point of selling physicals? Money. That's it - these idols aren't putting all this effort for nothing, they need to make an earning, and physicals are one way of doing so.Maybe it's not much, but it's certainly more than what digitals can give them.

(That said, a good mix of both digitals and physicals would be most ideal)

Wait, that's a lot more songs than I expected I was really side-eying their release sched for pre-release singles since the teasing has been going on for a year now, but now I'm actually even more excited with this.

The singles have been top-notch. Can't wait for the other tracks too
