I disagree. Yeah, Blackpink has a higher than normal international "batting average" but there are a few groups out there with material with replay value.

...ASCAP. I heard Rico Nasty's verse in "Tia Tamera[explict]" though, so somebody has been doing their assigned homework #1 (and 2); kudos.

I definitely think she is one of the best female rappers and I agree with DMV2DMZ that I am looking forward to that solo to make a better judgement on where she falls as an overall rapper.
It may not make sense to some why she needs the solo material out there. There is a classic versed Hip-Hop statement, "show and prove".
Of the lady rappers out there, the only few with great audio-reference material are CL and Jessi.
CL's "The Baddest Female" and "Hello B!tches" and Jessi's "Gucci" and "Who Dat B" are some of the dopest and internationally respected tracks around for lady-rap soloist. Once Soyeon has her tracks out then people can illustrate how Soyeon is dope too by referencing track(s) "X, Y, or Z" on top of her freestyles and battles.

I personally don't focus as much on charts. What doesn't make sense to me is how SME worked with Blaq Tuxedo for "7th Sense" FOUR YEARS before Doja Cat had a top 20 hit with "Streets" (same vibe) yet they are struggling to build Aespa a solid catalog with worldwide impact? Come on.
It's obvious what SME should be doing for Aespa, at least in terms of album cut material that wouldn't be considered "biting" other "K-Popular" groups, but SME has been dropping balls that should have been rolling for a while now because of narrow thinking in relation to the music that is actually limiting their next generation's ability to reach the "NEXT LEVEL" when it comes to quality catalog music.

Type 1 East Asians are those East Asians with genetic markers that are found only in East Asians and not Europeans.
Type 2 East Asians are those East Asians with genetic markers that are found in Europeans too.
Type 1 and Type 2 East Asians share genetic markers together so they form a clade.
There are no Europeans with genetic markers that are not present within the East Asian clade so they cannot form a clade of their own and that is why they are actually a branch off the East Asian one.
Desi Indians would be South Asia so they would not be in this study. Southeast Asians are also not here.
They are missing an "earlier chapter" of the story by excluding South Asians from the scope.

Heard of the term Eurasian before? I have to read and find out what is the distinction between "Type 1" and "Type 2" East Asians. If Desi Indians fall under Type 2, that would make practical sense.

Once her solo is out, and if the tracks are hot, she can solidify it. She's of the few who actual has freestyle and rhyme-writing ability on the lady side of "id0l-dom". Most who are still in an active group are inconsistent when it comes to having catalog-quality solo tracks.
I can only emphasize how great of a moment it could be because most of the rappers who I think are good are so because they have life experience outside of South Korea. Soyeon probaby doesn't but it shows just how gifted she is. She just needs great tracks and the rest is history. I'd be like, "FINALLY some real progress for K-id0l rappers!" We need more talented rappers to help raise the bar (pun intended) anyway. She's the closest in potential to becoming an MC and a Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott in her own right and path in South Korea.

...They both have dolls. Not focusing on sales, I think BTS has to continue on with longevity and have a couple reunion tours in order to have their own long-term historical impact. Some more really solid catalog songs would be great support.

You might be onto something. Keep pondering!

I know there are gifted Filipinos with more singing ability than what is typical in K-Pop. They probably won't fit the "usual" K-Pop mould though.
-
I think they are on the cusp of the "hitting the bullseye". They have to get their song structure and things right.

I forgot. Day6's Unlock is a freakin' classic! "(Track #2)Breaking Down" To "(Track #10)It's Okay" is a no-skip!

I'm not surprised. The verses in the instrumental are my favorite parts of the song, emphasis on the first :30 seconds making you want to do choreo:

It's good. Another EXO song that connects with me better is "Good Night":

Some of my favorite version of a song have been remixes and that covers Pop, K-Pop, R'N'B, Hip-Hop, and Rock. So, I can't shut down remixes at all.
