I’ve followed got7 on and off over the years, I liked them and a lot of their music but I wouldn’t say I was a full on fan so this is more an outsiders perspective.
What really attracted me to their earlier music is their personality. Even their songs that I didn’t like as much I would still watch performances because they were all just really good performers.
I think more cute concepts wouldn’t really have helped, but maybe more clear concepts if that makes sense? Or more relaxed, fun concepts. Like a more mature version of cute I guess. From what I’ve seen over the last couple of years they’ve had a lot of similar, ‘moody’ concepts.
It also seems like JYPE have been putting more effort into promoting their newer groups and had decided that got7 weren’t going to get any bigger so they just put in enough effort with them to promote them to their own fans and didn’t try and help them grow any further which is a shame because I think JYPE could have aimed higher for them. The boys definitely put in enough work.
Akgaes are what cause 90% of the issues in our fandom. I really want to be excited about the upcoming solos but I know akgaes are going to be picking over every single thing, if one does better than another they will be saying their fave is better than the others or their fave is being mistreated by the rest of the fandom when blinks wouldn’t do that, blinks support all the girls.

Either that or she is just meaning because her hair is in plaits lol. Would love that though. I hope she get to do another song at The Show. Solo is hers but she has been performing it a lot now, it would be nice for her to get to sing something different. At least maybe rework it a bit so it is different.
Also, For The First Time in Forever is a duet so maybe Jennie and Rosé could sing it together lol

But that’s the point, choosing a song that has rapping in both Korean and English is kinda underestimating how hard rapping is, thinking as a non rapper that she would easily be able to rap in two languages that are presumably not her first. She has clearly learnt the words, that isn’t they issue. Her pronunciation is probably the best thing about it too (they English at least but it is mostly in English).
Anyway, she looks like she’s having fun so I guess that’s all that matters.
