Apparently Microsoft Theater deleted a tweet which said that BTS will perform there. So it's almost confirmed
What's also interesting is that everyone in AOTY noms has a label part of UMG. I always wondered why the change from Columbia to UMG was so sudden. Now I kinda think UMG promised them they would do a better job at promoting them at award shows to be in the main artists conversation. And it seems like they are already doing it.

I'm sus that BB has some axe to grind with Columbia. I wouldn't put it past them. Not saying CR is perfect by any stretch, but BTS do not usually speak about those things or draw attention there and it seems like BB just going ahead and letting it out, out of spite.
BB wants that army attention, I think they even trended on Twitter. Columbia and BB are too big tbh to have something one with each other. BTS doesn't speak about these things but eventually they would have to make the announcement, it's still an important thing. BB might have something with Ron Perry, singling him out and basically throwing him under the bus to be food for armys
I'm not saying Perry wasn't bad but it feels like mentioning the bad relationship wasn't really necessary unless BB wanted that drama against him.

So after the deal expired, they basically put Columbia on a month-to-month basically trying to force them to do more otherwise they would leave. Month-to-month is kinda unusual and shaky but it's clearly things haven't been stable. HYBE might have wanted out sooner but somehow Columbia convinced them to stay and after the honeymoon with Butter promo, they had enough. With Perry mentioned here in a negative way it's clearly things have went downhill in that direction as well.

Last year when the first UMG rumours came up I said that given how things look, BTS/HYBE was negotiating with both Columbia/UMG. They still had one year left I think with Columbia at that point. I predicted that at the beginning of this year they will switch to UMG to get better promotion as Columbia didn't do much.
Then the huge Dynamite push by Columbia happened and given the success I thought the move to UMG won't happen anymore and Columbia will finally put effort for BTS. Looks like lately things haven't been great with Columbia and they finally kill the deal.
Now we know UMG tried to pursue BTS for a long time so those negotiations from last year might actually be true.
I'm glad this happens, BTS deserves more than what Columbia offered.

Yes, that stadium has like 1 year since it got finished. It will also host the LA Olympics.
US Armys deserve the first stadium concerts tbh, all that work for BB Hot100 was incredible.
