Tws song went viral and rose. It's kinda obvious that plot twist is bigger than tws as a group. They made no noise as a group. That's why they can't even pull riize numbers in first hour even tho they have a way bigger hit. Riize as a group is much more popular.

This was Plot twist rankings after a week. So they’re doing better. We’ll have to see if it rises like Plot twist did.

Magnetic also had really low debut numbers but ended up being a hit so who knows

Their Japan releases did really well on Spotify so idk what the yapping is about.

Armageddon is doing fine. It’s doing a bit worse than Drama/Spicy on Kcharts but Armageddon has better Spotify numbers.

But when big groups do pre-releases with double TTs, the pre-release does better most of the time. Or it could just be that SuperNova is the better song too.

A lot of GGs starting doing this method. But Newjeans is the only group that can chart multiple title tracks consistently. At least as of now

You have Attention/Hype Boy, Ditto/OMG, ETA/Super shy, and How sweet/Bubble Gum. No other active gg comes close…

People are definitely underestimating BAEMON if they were able to do decently with a BAD song, imagine once they start releasing hits??

Newjeans still has things going on for them though. They have retained their dominance in Korea and will probably chart 4 songs in the top 10. And they are the most streamed GG on Spotify right now I believe.

Despite this underperformance, Newjeans is THE top group. Newjeans running from 2022 and 2023 was strong and they can get back to that.

Secondly ADOR NEEDS TO STOP releasing MVs before it goes on streaming services. Especially weeks before (Bubblegum).

ADOR promotional strats weren’t good. And I think that had a bigger effect than losing hybe or hybe Stan support.

HYBE is not going to crank the playlisting until they see that the song has potential or is gaining momentum. Super shy and Ditto were getting decent streams before it got put onto playlists.

How sweet debuted lower and never reached above 2M streams. So yeah, HYBE isn’t going to push it (ie TTH).

I don’t think Newjeans is “declining” it is just that How Sweet isn’t a song that would click to casual listeners. Their 2022/2023 releases are still getting good streams. It’s just the song choice.

Globally Newjeans definitely depends on going viral on TikTok/social media. However in order for that to happen ADOR needs to properly push the song, and the song itself needs to be really* good.

How many PAKS can SuperNova get? I don’t see any other song except Newjean’s release next week being able to challenge it.

And even then… I think Supernova can hold it down for a while

They are promoting these singles in Japan mainly and I don’t think ADOR is going to do much for promoting it. Plus Newjeans was caught in the middle of a company feud.

So I think trying to gauge their success is sort of unfair. They’ll come out with a proper album within the next year and I’m sure they’ll bounce back from HOW SWEET/BUBBLEGUM.

This is true in the US TOO. ILLIT and Lesserafim debuted in Spotify USA so they were both able to enter hot 100.

Newjeans benefited a lot from their songs getting traction on TikTok (which both groups above especially ILLIT benefited from). But how sweet lacks that vitality.
