Most female idols aren't tall, most seem to be around 5'3" to 5'5", which is average height for a female.

Taller people are considered more attractive in Korea, so tall idols are praised, but I don't think short female idols are looked down on, unless they're extremely short.

Rape and sexual assault are about power rather than sex a lot of the time. He probably did it as the ultimate way to humiliate another male and assert power over them. Being beaten is awful, but getting sexually assaulted is even worse.
